He was born September 24, 1965 in Douglas County, Georgia to the late Horace Olin Adamson and the late Mary Lou Cogburn Adamson. He had made his home in Haywood County most of his life. He was a 1983 graduate of Pisgah High School where he made many friendships that have lasted a lifetime. For more than 30 years Mark was dedicated heavy equipment operator with Southern Maintenance Company. Mark very much enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing in the mountain streams, camping at one of his favorite sites or just hiking in the peaceful mountains that he loved. Mark was a member of Mountain Baptist Church in Canton. His memory will be cherished forever by his loving family and friends. In the words of his devoted wife, “Mark was truly a good man, he kept things simple in his life, he always took care of his family and we know that our lives have been blessed by having each other.” Mark will be a part of us forever.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Candace, his seven children, two grandchildren, (and one on the way), two sisters and their husbands, three nephews, one great-niece and three great-nephew, and many dear friends.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2017 in the chapel of Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Canton. Pastor Denny King officiated. Burial was at New Cruso Cemetery.
