A resident of Houston for the past 20 years, Popeck was born in McGovern on August 18, 1903, and was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Popeck, of Canonsburg, R. D. 1, who survive. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Helen Losko Popeck; his parents; three children, James, William and Dorothy, at home; six brothers, George, of Houston; Frank, of Meadowlands; Walter, of Canonsburg; Pete, of Canonsburg; Andrew and Edwin, both at home; four sisters, Mrs. Veronic Milesky, of Finleyville; Mrs. Helen Woyicki, of Houston; Anna and Lillie, at home.
Friends are being received at the late home, where short services will be held Thursday at 8:30 a. m. Requiem High Mass will follow at 9 a. m. at St. Patrick's Church, in charge of the Rev. J. Edward Istocin. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
