Donald R. Andrews, 76 of McDermott died Friday February 20, 2009 at SOMC Hospice. He was born September 6, 1932 in Pulaski, VA to the late Charles and Maggie King Andrews. He was a graduate of Pulaski High School and attended Ohio University. He retired from Goodyear Atomic Corporation. Donald was an Army Veteran where he held rank as a Sergeant, a member of Nauvoo Masonic Lodge #769 a 32 degree Mason of the Valley of Cincinnati and was of the Methodist Faith. Don's greatest joy in life was his family. His beloved daughter and grandchildren were a blessing to him during his long illness. Along with his parents Don was preceded in death by 4 brothers; Arnold, Howard, Darst, William and Wayne Andrews.

Don is survived by his wife who he married on June 16, 1962 in Portsmouth, a daughter of McDermott and 2 grandchildren, 2 brothers, a sister of Hallsville, Texas, brother-in-law of West Portsmouth, two sister-in-law's. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Greg Carter and James Poole officiating. Interment will be in Scioto Burial Park with graveside military rites by James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday and 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Masonic Services will be held at 8:00 PM on Tuesday with Nauvoo Masonic Lodge # 769 officiating. The family requests that donations be made to SOMC Hospice in Donald's name.
