John W. Czajkoski Richards, age 84, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017.
Born in Joliet, a lifelong resident. U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict (1953-1955). Formerly employed by Texaco Inc. and Uno Ven Refinerys for 42 years, retiring in 1993. Member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, O.C.A.W. Union, Joliet Moose Lodge #300 and Old Timers Baseball.
Survived by his children Carol Arrington of Joliet, John (Patricia) Czajkoski of Wilmington, William A. (Kathy) Czajkoski of Custer Park, Michael J. of Verona, IL and Susan L. (Steve) Calvert. Sister Marie (John) Gelsomino of Joliet. Numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his wife Carol L. (Altiery) (1964); his parents John (1963) and Helen (Jakielski) (1949) Czajkoski; Sisters Delores (Glen) Lange, Lorraine (Stanley) Lewandowski, Dorothy (Les) Marchiniak, Virginia (Louis) Zanzola.
Funeral from the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home, Saturday May 20, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. to Holy Cross Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation Friday 4-8 p.m.
