COLUMBIA - Mrs. Allison Hope Diveley , 68, of Columbia, went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 22, 2015. Born in Columbia April 7, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Jakie and Mildred Allison Hope. She was a member of Park Street Baptist Church.



Allison began her career with Jeff Hunt Machinery Company and retired after 45 years as Director of Human Resources for Blanchard Machinery Company. She was dearly loved by her family. Allison was a mama to a lot of people and influenced many. She looked for the best in people and encouraged them to do their best.

Allison is survived by her husband, Ed Diveley ; daughter, Tami Cupp (Mike) of West Columbia; stepson, Lee Diveley (Kimberly) of Columbia; grandchildren, Allison and Katherine Cupp of West Columbia; and Noah, Taylor, Joshua and Courtney Hope Diveley of Columbia.

The service for Allison will be held Wednesday, August 26th, at 2:00 o'clock at Park Street Baptist Church with Dr. Lawrence Dennis, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, Tuesday evening from 5 until 7 o'clock. In appreciation of the wonderful care given to Allison 's mother by Agape Hospice, memorials may be made to Agape Hospice at Agape Foundation, 1624 Main Street, Columbia, SC 29203.
