She was born in Saybrook, Illinois to Henry and Gladys Nunamaker on May 2, 1956.
She leaves behind her husband, Bruce; two children; brothers, Loren (Sue) and Neil (Betsy) and sisters, Gayle (Jim) Beckner, Melba (David) Walton, Lyla Miller and Lois Berry.
Sisters, Wanda Shoemaker and Eialeen Maltby and brothers-in-law Raymond Shoemaker, Loren Miller, Otto Maltby and Don Berry preceded her in death, along with her parents.
As a young bride living in Connecticut, she gave birth to Tyson Bradford of Mahomet and Keesha (Matt) Graf of Bloomington. Three grandchildren were born and were the delight of her heart. She spent many hours playing, doing crafts and teaching them to think outside of themselves. Each grandchild got to spend a special day with Grandma doing something of their choice for their birthdays.
Leaving home at a young age, she fearlessly traversed the country. She continued to do this with the love of her life, husband Bruce Jackson, when she wasn't working at the Mahomet Post Office. Both were motorcycle enthusiasts, and they took many trips together. The most memorable was a six-week excursion to Alaska on their Harleys!
Never at a loss for words, she never met a stranger and always had a captive audience with her quick wit and clever tongue. There was never a dull moment, and many friends from their ABATE group will remember her humor and encouragement.
She accepted Jesus late in life and continued to use her giftings to offer a helping hand at the Vineyard Church's Hope Center, sending care packages to deployed members of the military and even offering her home to the occasional wandering souls on the street. Although a small-statured woman, she was mighty in her love for others.
