She was the daughter of the late Archie and Nora Vaugh Holdren. Ethel was also preceded in death by her husband James Samuel Akard "Casey", one brother Archie C. Holdren Jr. and two sisters, Barbara Sue Garland and Alberta Sims.
Ethel was strong in her faith, she was a member of New Life Baptist Church. She loved to garden, sew and be outside. Ethel also loved children and helping those in need.
A celebration of life will be held at 7:00 P.M. Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Tetrick Funeral Home- Bluff City Chapel with Pastor Coy Webb officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Saturday.
A graveside will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Sunrise Cemetery in Bluff City, those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:50 P.M.
