Randy Scott Bressler was born April 5, 1958 at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He passed away at UnityPoint Health Proctor in Peoria on May 15, 2017 surrounded by family and loved ones. Randy graduated from Cuba High School in 1977 and joined the U.S. Army immediately after where he served till 1985. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marion Smith Bressler. He is survived by his brothers, sisters and sister-in-law, Leroy and Teresa Bressler, Guy and Diane Blankenship, Bonita Bressler and William Bressler. Randy is also survived by six children, Robert (Ruth) Bressler, Steven Bressler, Crystal (Alan) Bressler Smith, Elizabeth, Timothy and Alexzandria McWhirter (Bressler), as well as six grandchildren. Randy was a hunter and fisherman. He was very dedicated to his family and friends. Randy touched the lives of people that he never met through his actions and greatly impacted the lives of people that were close to him. His up beat personality was an inspiration to many people, too many to name. He was very proud to have served in the U.S. Army. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at his residence 108 W. Garfield Ave., Bartonville, IL 61607 from noon to 4 p.m. with military rites at 1 p.m.
