Eddie retired from the Post Office as a mail carrier, prior to that he was an Indiana State Trooper 1960-1967 and a Kokomo Police Officer 1968-1972. He loved watching sports and was in heaven when he could watch his grand kids play. He also loved to run and ride bikes. You could see him and his best friend running at the Maple Crest Middle School track four or five times a week after carrying mail all day, putting in up to six miles. Eddie also loved to travel with his favorite trip being a cruise in Alaska. He loved the Cubs and getting to see them win the World Series was huge.
Eddie is survived by his three sons, Kevin, Brian, and Tom Hudson; sisters, Jan Languell and Nancy Brooks; brothers, Robert and Jerry Hudson; grandkids, Ryan, Alexandra, Tyler, Riley, and Andrew; and great-grandkids, Harper, Hunter, and Henry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmund L. and Elva L. Hudson, and brother, Dick Hudson.
According to Eddie’s wishes, no public services will be held. Burial of his ashes will take place at a later date in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Peru. Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com. Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, Kokomo, was entrusted with arrangements.
