Carlton is the son of Chancy and Laney. He was said to be buried in Paradise Cemetery, but I also found a memorial for him in Klamath County, where he died. Many family members are buried here in Paradise Cemetery. It may be that he had a burial place in the family plot, but was not actually buried here. Carlton Akin married first to Katy Bryan, who died in Otoe Co. Nebraska in 1885. They had six known children. Carlton married second to Martha Lent in 1895 in Oregon. She died in 1901 and is buried here in Paradise Cemetery, memorial #41409424.

It was common to have ashes interred at two different areas when the pioneer resided in two different places. Charles Akin, who died in 1993, has some ashes interred with parents Clarence and Mary Akin, in Paradise Cem.
