"William F Deverts, 77, of 216 Bank St, died at 2:40 pm, Saturday, following an extended illness. He was born June 5, 1882, in Pittsburgh, a son of Edward and Elizabeth Bilestone (sic) Deverts. He married Gladys Emerson on April 15, 1918, in Mayville, NY. Mr Deverts was employed as a timekeeper by the Struthers Wells Corp for about 19 years. He attended the Baptist Church. Besides his wife, he leaves four children, Mrs Paul Warner of Titusville, RD 2, William Deverts, Jr, of Titusville, RD 3, Robert B Deverts and Miss Janet Deverts, both at home; four grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs Nellie Swartz and Miss Elizabeth Deverts of Pittsburgh. Four brothers preceded him in death. Friends may call....at the Peterson Funeral Home and attend the funeral service there at 2 pm Tuesday. Rev Vernon Whitney, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate and interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery."
