Claes R. Ahlbom, 78, Detroit, who lived part of the year at Green Lake, died Monday morning at St. Agnes Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Stockholm, Sweden, Feb. 21, 1888, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Ahlbom. He married Dagny Anderson July 21, 1918. She preceded him in death. He was a retired leather cutter.
Mr. Ahlbom is survived by one son, Ragnar Ahlbom, Green Lake; one daughter, Mrs. Jay Duke, Detroit; one brother, Eric Ahlbom, and one sister, Mrs. Agda Anderson, Stockholm, Sweden; and five grandchildren.
Friends may call until 9 p.m. today at the Butzin Funeral Home, Ripon. Funeral services will be held Friday at the Schmalzriedt Funeral Home, Detroit, with burial in a Detroit cemetery. Funeral arrangements were made by Lewis D. Egbert, Green Lake.
