Alfred Tilden Patton, son of Thomas and Mary Elizabeth Patton, was born June 10, 1875, at Arrington, Kans., and died June 17, 1932, at the home of his niece, Mrs. Ben Mosher and husband. He was one of a family of 13 children--three of whom survive him--Clabe of Larkinburg, Ambrose of California, and Martha Dickens of Idaho.
He spent his entire life in this community where he was familarly addressed as "Al." He was noted for his honesty and industry---was respected by all who knew him and was one of the few of whom no unkind words were spoken.
His health began to fail about three years ago, and acting on the advice of his physician he gave up hard work and came to the home of his niece, Mrs. Ben Mosher, where he since lived as one of the family and received the kindly treatment he deserved, by Mr. and Mrs. Mosher and son, Frank, the doing all possible to relieve the suffering of his last illness.
Funeral services were held in the church at Arrington Sunday afternoon, June 19; at 2 o'clocl by Rev. Kimball. Mr. Otis Humphrey and L. Kathrens sang the funeral hymns with Mrs. Otis Humphreys at the piano. Interment was in the cemetery north of Larkinburg.
