OTTUMWA – Mary Jo Ann Eaton, 80, formerly of Ottumwa died at 7:30 a.m. December 4, 2016 at the Friendship Village in Bloomington, MN.

She was born March 11, 1936 in Floris to Fred and Virginia Barnett Piper. She married William “Bill” Eaton November 20, 1954 in Bremerton, WA.

A graduate of Fremont High School in 1954, Mary Jo was a homemaker. She had been a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Surviving is a daughter, Terri (Barry) Pearson of Eden Prairie, MN; a sister, Shirley Brand of Garland, TX.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Eaton; two infant sons, William Aaron Eaton and Scott Martin Eaton; two sisters, Mary June Piper and Beverly Hull.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Craig Knupp officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be open after 11 a.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home with the family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
