Myrtle E. Christianson, 88, of rural Reedsville, passed away Tuesday evening, August 6, 1991, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. Rev. Carl Peters and Rev. Mark Gould will officiate and burial will be in Valders West Cemetery.

She was born March 17, 1903, in the town of Liberty, daughter of Simon and Mary Ellestad Berg. She attended Utica area schools and Valders area schools and was formerly employed by the Kohler Co. She married Walter Christianson September 21, 1921, at Valders West Church. She was a member of the Valders American Legion Auxiliary, Faith Lutheran Church and Faith Lutheran Church Women.

Survivors include four sons and two daughters-in-law, Verlin of rural Valders, Ralph and Jean of Elkhart Lake, Richard of Valders, Ronald and Mary of rural Reedsville; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Elmira Huske of Valders, Geraldine and Orville Valleskey of Mesa, Ariz., Leonre and Orlando Olsen of DePere; 32 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, two grandchildren, Barbara Huske Olson and Janice Huske, one brother, Odin Berg; a son-in-law, John Huske, and a daughter-in-law, Lois Chistianson.

Friends may call at Faith Lutheran Church on Thursday from 6-9 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to the time of service. Christianson-Deja Funeral Home is serving the family.
