Ricky L. Mundy, age 61 of Dayton, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017. He had worked at Quality Control Inspections for many years. He was a member of the American Legion in Kettering and enjoyed golfing. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Jennifer (B.J.) Thornbury of New Carlisle, wife: Rita Mundy of Union City, grandchildren: Gary (Courtney) Crowder, Harley Thornbury, Colten Thornbury, Heather Mundy, great grandchildren: Matthew Crowder, Ellie Crowder, sister: Robin and David Wolfe of Brookville, step-children: Sherry (Otis) Mead of Union City, Alan Heitkamp of IN, step- grandchildren: Desiree East, Joshua Liles, Seth Heitkamp, Merrick Heitkamp, Jace Heitkamp, step-great grandchildren: Patience and Acacia, aunt: Peggy Heidtke of Dayton, nephew: David Mundy, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Thomas and Carol (Sutton) Mundy, son: Tommy Mundy and niece: Pamela Wolfe. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood). The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 5:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
