\par MOUNT PLEASANT \emdash Cecelia (CJ) Nichols-Pearce, 69, of Mount Pleasant, died Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at CMC-Northeast in Concord. Mrs. Pearce was employed by Pathways of Concord as a Medical Transcriptionist and was of the Lutheran faith. Mrs. Pearce was a graduate of the class of 1958 of Central High School in Charlotte, she was secretary of the class reunion committee. She was affiliated with Maryknolls, and assisted with Care Outreach Women\rquote s Group of Wilmington. She enjoyed riding motorcycles with Robert. She enjoyed helping friends and family when needed. Camping was one of her favorite pastimes, an avid reader, and loved animals of all kinds. CJ enjoyed life to the fullest, and was a very vibrant person. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend to all.\par In lieu of flowers please make memorials to: C.J. Pearce Memorial Scholarship Fund 412 Ann Street Wilmington, NC 28401, or to Church of the Redeemer PO Box 3365 Monroe, NC 28111.\par Born in Iredell County on June 1, 1940 she was the daughter of the late Ted Ray Nichols and Ruth (Hoover) Warner.\par She is survived by her husband, Robert W. Pearce of the home; son, Trent Faulkner and wife, Marigrace, of Monroe; son, Zachariah Jackson Pearce and wife, Amy of Dallas, Texas; daughters, Dee (Faulkner) Epperson and husband, Lester, of Mint Hill and Jessica Loraine Pearce of Washington, D.C.; mother, Ruth (Hoover) Warner of Statesville; grandchildren, Leah Epperson, Taylor Epperson, Daniel Faulkner, and Madison Faulkner; sister, Barbara Lentz and husband, Roy Lentz, Jr. of Statesville; sisters, Avis Walsh and husband, Jim, of Statesville and Inez Briggs of Owing Mills, Md. \par Arrangements are being handled by Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord, where the family will receive friends from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2009.
