FRANKLIN EUGENE WAIBEL
Franklin Eugene Waibel, 36, of Monroe City, died suddenly at 1 p.m.
Saturday, September 29, after suffering a heart attack.
He was the son of Edna and Jacob Waibel of Novelty. He was born on
March 13, 1926 in Shelby County and attended the Novelty schools. He
served in the Navy during World War II. He operated a filling station
at Monroe City which he had recently purchased.
He was married to Nancy Fay Clark on November 24, 1956. He is
survived by his wife and children, Thomas Granville, Paula Jean, Teresa
Carol and Karen Beth; his mother and four brothers, Verna O. of Novelty,
Missouri; John William of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Lewis H. of
Lawton, Oklahoma and Robert Earl of Macon, Missouri; five sisters, Mrs.
Stanley Sunpter of Topeka, Kansas; Mrs. Howard Boling and Mrs. R. I.
Mattingley of Clarence, Missouri; Mrs. Bell Vogt of LaGrange, Illinois;
and Mrs. Robert Bradley of Pensacola, Florida.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, October 2, at 2 p.m. at the
Novelty Christian Church with Rev. Carroll Kakoc officiating. Interment
was in the Pleasant Prairie Cemetery under the direction of Garner
Funeral Home in Monroe City.
Bearers were W. E. Smith, S. E. Peavler, Harold Foreman, Gerald
Foreman, Howard Perry and Donald Wilkerson.
