Son of Reuben and Polly (Hibbard) Mason: "Moses Mason, a long-time resident and a much honored citizen of this town [Glover], died at his home this morning, aged about 76 years. Mr. Mason was the son of the late Reuben Mason, for man[y] years a popular clergyman in this vicinity. Mr. Mason has always enjoyed good health till of late, and has been a man who has been well informed on all matters of interest. His eldest son, Dan, died in the army. He leaves a wife, one daughter, Mrs. A. B. Blake of Denver, Col., (if not on her return) and two sons, Reuben and Will, at Glover. The funeral services will be held at his late residence at 2 o'clock tomorrow (Tuesday)." (Orleans County Monitor, 6/9/1890)
