In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John B. Perry, and son, John David Perry.
Surviving is one son, Stephen (Kim) Perry, of Bassett; one brother, Donald Ashby of Ridgeway; three sisters, Martha (J.D.) Cox of Ridgeway, Susan Cobbler of Martinsville, and Jane (Kennon) Draper of Collinsville; three grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Gloria was an avid cross-stitcher and loved to sew. In addition to sewing, she loved to bake and was well known for her pound cakes.
A visitation will be held for Gloria at Collins Funeral Home on Friday, May 26, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. Her funeral service will be Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Dan Schelling officiating. A private graveside will be held at the convenience of the family.
