" Mr. Eli G. Hill was married three times. Annie V. Paris, daughter of P.O. Paris, Warrenton, Ga, was his third wife. She met him while visiting one of his six sisters, who also graduated from Wesleyn College. Miss Annie graduated in the 2nd class of Wesleyan Female College of Macon, Ga, with first honors and and taught there until she married Mr. Hill on Oct. 2, 1842. Her diploma once hung in the College in her honor. She and Mr. Hill had 13 children. ( He already had Thomas and Olivia from his first marriage and 6 children from his marriage to a Miss Bailey) .

Eli G Hill is listed on the Confederate Graves Registry as ID# 124326, buried in Cedar Hill. They quote his Confederate Service Record from Fold3, saying he was a Private in Wootens' Company of the 15th GA State Guards.
