Richard Almont Ledford, 71, of Union City passed away 6:09 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2017, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Chip Davis will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Royce Tidwell, Jeff Simpson, Robert Cabrera, Jarod Ledford, Mark Ledford, Jim Duncan, Coy Tidwell, Sean Cabrera, and Cameron Cabrera.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jackie Bone, Dave Jennings, Joe Johnson, Wayne Fleming and other Goodyear and Titan coworkers, and the deacons and members of Lake Road Baptist Church.

Richard was born February 19, 1946, in Cadiz, Kentucky, son of the late Richard Alexander and Mary (Robertson) Ledford. He married Annie (Easterwood) Ledford March 18, 1989. She survives. Richard was a graduate of Murray State University and had been employed in management with Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for 39 years and later as a consultant for Titan Tire for 2 years. He worked many years facilitating the Goodyear Youth Fishing Rodeo. Richard was a devoted Christian and was a member of Lake Road Baptist Church where he served as Sunday School Director. He was an avid Kentucky Wildcats basketball fan and an enthusiastic collector and restorator of vintage Ford Mustangs and John Deere tractors.

He is also survived by three daughters, Kimberly (Robert) Cabrera of Wellington, Florida, Jodie (Jeff) Simpson and Shellie Tidwell all of Union City; one son, Shane Autry of Nashville; eight grandchildren, Elana Hale, Hunter Hale, Chelsea Simpson, Hailey Simpson, Casidy Tidwell, Coy Tidwell, Sean Cabrera and Cameron Cabrera; his siblings, Carl Lee and Brenda Ledford, James Ray and Gay Ledford, and Tom and Suzanne Ledford all of Trigg County, Kentucky, Steve and Sherry Ledford of Murray, Kentucky, Dean and Terry Duncan of Cadiz, Kentucky, and Mary Ann and Dennis Krol of Frankfort, Kentucky. He is also survived by several other brothers and sisters-in-law; and many special nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Gabriel Cabrera.
