Alice Jane Turner Affolter Carter, 85, of Owasso, Oklahoma passed away Friday, August 12, 2016 at the Oxford Glenn Memory Care Center in Owasso. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday August 15th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, Missouri; burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. Alice was born February 19, 1931 in Oak Grove, Missouri, the daughter of James L. and Lena "Todd" Turner. She graduated from Grain Valley High School in 1948. Alice was a member of First Baptist Church in Grain Valley. She was a long time resident of Grain Valley beginning in 1966 after her husband, Dean Affolter retired from the U.S. Navy and he family returned from living in Japan for 4 years. Alice was preceded in death by two husbands, Dean Affolter in 1982 and Bill Carter in 2012, two brothers, Bill and Kenneth Turner and one sister, Betty Turner.
