MARTHA ANN POWERS, 77, of New Haven, went home to the Lord on Saturday, May 27, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Walter "Kenneth" and Mary (Plumley) Leamon. She was a member of the Grace Point Church of the Nazarene, Fort Wayne. Loved by all, she was a fun and trusted friend, best school bus driver for 43 years with Fort Wayne Community Schools and an avid sports fan. Martha was a beloved sister and aunt, loving wife of 59 years, incredible mother, absolutely perfect Grandma, and most importantly, faithful follower of Jesus. She is survived by her husband, Loren Powers of New Haven; daughters, Denise Powers and Deanna (Ed) Arnold, both of New Haven; siblings, Joseph (Sandra) Leamon of Angola and Mildred Joan Patton of Brooklyn, Wisc.; grandson, Tyler Arnold of New Haven. She was also preceded in death by her son, Douglas, four sisters and six brothers. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Saturday at Grace Point Church of the Nazarene, 8611 Mayhew Rd., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior to service. Pastor Rex Person officiating. Calling is also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven.
