(1889 - 1961)

Miss Julia Korstad, 72, of Shady Lane Home, Manitowoc, died Wednesday evening at the home following a short illness.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Faith Lutheran Church (West), Valders, with the Rev. Robert A. Onkka officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She was born Feb. 24, 1889 at Auburndale, daughter of the late Peter and Sarah Peterson Korstad. She never married and had resided at Shady Lane Home for the past eight years. She was a member of the Thompson Burkart American Legion Post 128 auxiliary at Valders, a member of Faith Lutheran Church and the Ladies' Aid at Valders.

Surviving are two brothers, Otis of Valders and Alfred of the State of California and a number of nieces and nephews.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. at Farley Funeral Home, Valders, until Friday noon when the casket will be moved to the church and the body lie in state until the time of services.
