DEATH OF F.E. TURNER
On Nov. 24, 1927, T.E. Turner, a well known citizen of Wayne county, died. He was born June 12, 1855, being 75 years of age.
He was married to Sarah J. Twyford, Dec. 31, 1874. To this union was born nine children, all of whom are living. They are as follows: Oliver and Leslie of Monticello; F.M. of Deering, Kans.; J.M. of Kellogg, Iowa; Elmer, of Cedar Crest, Ky ; Florida Gossage, Rankin, Ky ; Florence Gossage, Eadsville, Ky.; Dora Burton, of Kellogg, Iowa; and Dandie Gossage, Grape, Ky.
All his children were at the bedside when he passed away,except Fred of Deering, Kas.
Turner is also survived by three brothers. George of Eadsville, Ky.; Pierce and Marion Turner, both of Parnell, Ky.; also one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Hutchison of Waynesburg, Kentucky.
Funeral services were conduct ed by Rev Geo. Abbott, and the remains interred in the Old Home Cemetery in Parmeley's Grove, and laid beside his wife, who had preceded him 13 years.
Mr. Turner professed faith in Christ at an early age, and lived a true and faithful Christian life; spreading joy and gladness among his fellowmen by the manner in which he lived day to day.
Mr. Turner will be greatly missed in the community in which he lived. His pleasant smile and jovial disposition never failed to impress all whom he came in contact, and while his friends and relatives mourn his loss, we feel that Heaven -- sing the praise of the precious Saviour around the Great White Throne. The greatest promise Good has made to his children is that He will gather His children Home.
