They were blessed with six daughters and one son. After the Air Force, Bob worked at Northern Natural Gas Company before joining his father as an electrician at his business. When his dad retired he bought the business "Red's Electric" and he and his brothers worked together for many years. In 1989 Bob retired as an electrician due to health reasons. He went on to fulfill his lifelong passion of buying and selling antiques. He loved to share stories of his treasure hunts and finds with his family. His grandchildren loving to hear his tales of his magnificent finds. Bob's other passion was dancing. A few of his favorite spots were The Dublin, The Main Event, Stormin Normans and his favorite was the Eagles. He cherished the special friendships that were made there. On his 80th birthday he celebrated with friends and family, dancing the night away at the Eagles. Monday nights he shared conversation and a drink with his buddies at the American Legion. On Tuesday mornings, you could find him enjoying a weekly get together with his brothers for breakfast. Wednesday evenings were set aside for hamburger night at the Eagles, Thursday night you might find him enjoying a taco and a beer at the Huddle. Monday through Friday he would enjoy lunch with some of his favorite friends at the SSC Senior Center. With even the worst of pain, you could not keep him away from these favorite friends and places. Bob is survived by his son Chris (Brenda) Persinger, daughter's Kim Kuehl, Amy Thacker and her fiancé Tim Alvano, Julie (Brad) Schindler, Sara DenBeste and Shane Hosch, and JoAnna Knox.
