Jordan Guzzino McFaull, 26, died in his home in New Orleans, Louisiana on August 10, 2015 due to complications of diabetes. Jordan was born on November 11, 1988, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He graduated Cum Laude from Tulane University with degrees in English and History, followed by a Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University School of Law New Orleans. He completed legal internships with U.S. Coast Guard Eighth District, New Orleans, and Judge Stephen B. Beasley, Many, Louisiana. Following his law degree from Loyola, Jordan began practicing as an Associate for the law firm of Mouledoux, Bland, Legrand, & Brackett in New Orleans.

Nothing kept Jordan from achieving his goals. He was an all-star athlete, excellent student, persuasive orator, outstanding writer, charismatic leader, compassionate friend and loving son. Some of his many accomplishments include Editor-in-Chief of The Loyola Maritime Law Journal, President of the Kappa Alpha Order at Tulane, member of the Tulane Rugby and crew teams, Tulane Distinguished Scholar, Anthony Munoz Defensive Lineman of the year Northern Kentucky, honors graduate of Beechwood High School, Governor's Scholar, President of Junior Statesman Beechwood Chapter, Knight Essay Winner, Outstanding Underclassman, Rotary Club Speech winner and Harvard Book Award.

Jordan enjoyed sports, hiking, outdoor activities, cooking, watching documentaries, and travel. He grew up in Kentucky while spending summers and holidays in Lake Charles, Louisiana with his grandparents and a gaggle of fun-loving cousins. His joy of life was infectious; and he brought joy and grace to all whose lives he touched. He was much beloved by all who knew him.

Preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Lawrence Guzzino; cousin Justin Wilkinson; and his paternal grandfather, Patrick C. McFaull.

A celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, Lake Charles, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested donations to the Jordan Guzzino McFaull Memorial Fund in Jordan's memory, www.gofundme.com/jordanmcfaull, in support of the Juvenile Diabetes Association.

[The above obituary was published in the Lake Charles (LA) American Press newspaper and the New Orleans Times-Picayune on August 13 and 14, 2015.]

Note by K. Jacob Ruppert:
Jordan, as well as a excellent legal writer, also enjoyed writing poetry:

PASSION
Give me the passionate ones,
thoes ever watchful hawks of change burning
with the incandescent brilliance of
innovation, exploration and motive,

Give me He, who lives a million years in
the blink of an eye, who fights, who dies, who cares,

Give me the one who never ceases to be
ready for the new day ahead and tomorrow's
better horizon,

Thoes who yearn for revolution, speak for
themselves, and instill the indomitable
sense of victory within the diffident
flock of apathy and complacence,

Give me He, who judges his step by the feel
of the wind, the warmth of the sun, and
the constant voice which says, press on,
press on, and don't stop.
