Memorial Services for H.L. Bethune, 67, of Lubbock wil be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Vandelia Church of Christ with Doug Hale officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of Angels Funeral Home.

He died Saturday, April 1, 2000.

He was born Jan.17,1933 in Wanett, Okla. He married Betty Sue Case on June 24,1990, in Lubbock. He attended Lubbock High School and worked for Santa Fe Railroad for 33 years. He was a member of the United Transportation Union and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He had been a resident of Lubbock for 58 years.

Survivors include his wife; seven sons, Bobby,Bryan and Darian, all of Lubbock, Jeff Hudson of Lubbock, Bradley and Steve Wren, both of Shallowater, and Stanley Wren of Commerce, Ga.; four daughters, Dian Taylor of Lubbock, Debra Wren of Shallowater, and Mary Mowery and Sharon Stafford, both of Waxahachie; three brothers, Elza Leon, Ralph and John, all of Lubbock; 26 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchilden.

The family suggests memorials to the American Lung Association or to a favorite charity.
