Jackie was born May 14, 1930 in Rochester, Indiana to Waldron and Charlene (Raymer) Hudkins.
She was a teacher and librarian for North Lawrence Community Schools in Bedford for 20 years, retiring in 1991.
Jackie loved to read and enjoyed politics.
She was a member of the Indiana Teacher's Association and Tri Kappa Sorority.
She was very active at Grace United Methodist Church for 25 years and a member of the United Methodist Women.
Jackie is survived by three children, Michael (Therese) Manis of Newland, North Carolina, Patrick (Dawn) Manis and Kathleen (Joe) Erickson both of Franklin, a brother, James Hudkins Sr. of Michigan City, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ray Manis and a brother, Edward Hudkins Sr.
Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Knox, Indiana.
