James Frederick Bacon, Class President of the 1894 graduating class of Pittsfield High School, a graduate of Williams College in Williamson, Massachusetts and a graduate of Harvard Law School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, was a well-known and prominent Boston attorney.
In a speech given by Attorney Bacon at he 50th Class Reunion of the 1894 graduating class of Pittsfied High, he says: "Undeniably the four formative years we passed together in Pittsfield High School were the most important foundational years of our individual lives. Always they have occupied and always they will occupy, a warm place in the heart of each of us. We salute all those still living, both teachers and classmates, and upon the graves of the dead, we lay our sincere tribute of affection."
