Born in Pittston, daughter of Gertrude Emma Belotti, Old Forge, and the late Leonard Belotti, she was a graduate of the Old Forge High School class of 1972. She received her bachelor's degree from East Strousdsburg University and earned her master's degree at the University of Scranton.
She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge, and taught for many years at St. Mary's School, Old Forge, and then went on to teach at All Saints Academy and St. Clare/St. Paul School, both in Scranton.
Also surviving are a son, Michael and wife, Nicole, Old Forge; a daughter, Rachel Corradino and husband, Jeff, Old Forge; grandchildren, Ethan Salerno and Lilah Salerno; a sister, Margaret Ann Belotti, Old Forge; a brother, Leonard Belotti and wife, Mary, Harding; nieces and nephews.
Adele was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a devoted teacher who enjoyed volunteering for flea markets and loved yard sales, gardening and bargain hunting. She was a good cook and loved animals.
The funeral will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. from the Palermo & Zawacki Funeral Home Inc., 409 N. Main St., Old Forge, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Lawrence Church, 620 S. Main St., Old Forge, to be celebrated by the Rev. August Ricciardi, pastor. Interment will be in Old Forge Cemetery.
