Ronald Lee Baldwin, 75, died Friday, June 2, 2017 at his residence following a brief illness.

He leaves his wife of 54 years; his daughter); a son; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother; and a nephew. He was a great storyteller and spent many hours lightening the load of his many close friends and family. He was greatly loved.

Born and raised in Cincinnati, the son of Don Baldwin and Mattie Baldwin, he attended Western Hills High School and was a longtime resident of Delhi.

He worked at O.H. Roth Company for 18 years and American Auto Body for 17 years hand-lettering delivery trucks for Hudepohl, Wiedeman and other local beer breweries as well as local distributors for Husman and Coca-Cola. After his retirement from American Auto Body, he worked for Highland County Airport, then held a part-time job with Home City Ice where he buoyed the spirits of his many younger associates. He worked there until his recent illness.

He moved from the Delhi area in 1995 to a couple of acres in the Rocky Fork region and in his final years spent time taking care of his property, which became precious to him over the years and where he spent his last days.

Ron was an avid and accomplished aviator. flying for many years out of Lunken and Highland County airports. He loved his time in the sky.

Ron will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held for friends and family on Saturday, June 24 at his home in Hillsboro.
