Dwight Carl McDowell, 68 of Thomasville, NC passed away June 5, 2017 at High Point Regional Hospital.
Dwight was born January 30, 1949 to Earnest and Francis McDowell.
He served as Captain of The Piedmont Triad Ambulance and Rescue Squad, was a member of The High Point Jaycees, and a Medic for The High Point SWAT Team.
Dwight was also a Conceal Carry Firearms Instructor.
He was predeceased by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years Jeanette McDowell, a son; Eric Davis and wife Lori Davis, Two grandchildren; Amanda Cox and husband Michael and Casey Davis.
Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of the Cumby Funeral Service in High Point on Thursday, June 8, at 2:00 pm, with the Reverend Michael Mable officating.
The Family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 7, from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Funeral Home.
