CHARLES GENTRY
Charles Gentry, died at his home at 904 1/2 Lincoln at 4:40 a.m. today. He was 55 years of age.
Gentry was a construction worker and was employed by the Blaw-Knox Construction Co. of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. He came to Parsons two months ago from Pensacola, Florida. His health failed six months ago and he was forced to retire from active work.
He was born in June, 1894 at Mt. Vernon, Kentucky and was married on September 14, 1938 at Tulsa to Minola Yelton, who survives. Other survivors include a son, Paul of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, a daughter Miss Selma Gentry of Kosmos, Washington; one brother, Tom of Portland, Oregon and a sister, Mrs. Lou Isabell of Claremore, Oklahoma.
He was a member of the Central Avenue Christian Church.
Services will be at the Carson Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. James H. Behler. Friend may call at the funeral home.
