Lou Rhea Drinnen passed away June 7, 2017 at LeConte Medical Center in Sevierville, Tennessee. Born to Rebecca and Ray Waycaster on October 31, 1937 in Wears Valley, Sevier County, Tennessee, she was a lifelong resident of the area. Rhea worked for 30+ years at Ogle's Buffett Restaurant in Gatlinburg as a cook and kitchen manager. At the time of her passing she resided in Pigeon Forge Health Care Center. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Brown and husband Chuck of Jonesborough, Tennessee, grandson Daniel Brown of Dickson, Tennessee, grandson Tommy Drinnen and wife Renee of Wears Valley and the sunshine of her life, great-granddaughter Danielle Drinnen of Wears Valley. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews including Mark Lake, Donna Nasworthy, Pam Lake and special niece Peggy Martinson.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Troy Tom (Red) Drinnen, her sister Mary Lake, of Clarksville, Tennessee and special friend Kathleen Drinnen.


Graveside service and interment will be 10 AM Saturday in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens, Pigeon Forge, TN. Rev. Danny Henry will officiate.
