Kenneth David Newby was born April 4, 1945 in King Daughter's Hospital, Temple, Bell County, Texas, Son of Barto Ernest and Mary Ann Elizabeth Bigham Newby.

Kenneth graduated from Temple High School, Temple Texas with class of 1963.

Kenneth married his high school sweetheart Janice Carol Rich, daughter of William Eugene and Jessie May Starling Rich on June 20 1964 in Temple, Bell Co., TX.

Kenneth and Janice moved to the Garland, TX area where he worked for Collins Radio. Later they bought their brick ranch home in the rural area of Greenville, Hunt County. Texas.

Ken was an Elder of the Vansickle Baptist Church where he enjoyed teaching Sunday School classes each week.

Kenneth built a work garage and did mechanical work for many friends and neighbors. He most enjoyed working on the cars of his older brother Charles Ray. It was a return favor for the work Charles had done on Ken's vehicles in earlier years.

Kenneth was a Teamster Diesel Mechanic. He worked many years for Churchill Truck Lines of Dallas Texas until their closing.
Ken retired from Roadway Truck Lines.
