Delbert Edman Crane was born to Peter Marion and Mary 'McJimsey' Crane on April 29, 1927 in San Bernardino, California. Delbert was the youngest of three children born to Peter and Mary. Delbert's older brother, Walter F Crane passed April 5, 1987 in Subiaco, Arkansas at the age of 65. His sister, Ima Pauline 'Crane' Davis left this earthly life August 25, 2011 in Redlands, California at age 91. Delbert was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Delbert passed June 16, 2016 at the age of 89. Delbert married Barbara Bell, and together tgey had two sons, David Harold and Donald Ray. Delbert later married Carmen, heling to raise her children.hHe and his sister frequently referred to a spe ial and unudual phrase duri g a conversation, which was 'any rare' meaning anyway) I loved hearing Delbert say 'Any eate',, as it reminded me of my grandmother Ima. I will miss hearing those words.

Delbert was honored with a military funeral.

Delbert served during WWII and shared many stories about that time of his life, and details of Pearl Harbor. I only wished I had written his story down, but was not prepared the day he told me so much of those days that he had never forgotten.
