Murl was born on August 17, 1890 in Milwood, the son of John Heden and Cornielia Edmonds Donohue.

Married Murl Burton Donohue at Price, Utah on November 27, 1917. (Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on their 50h Wedding Anv. May 29, 1964). They lived in Carbon Co. for the first three years and then bought a farm at Talmage on April 19, 1920 from Samuel H. Draper. (The house had served as a school for the children of Talmage.)

They lived between Talmage and Carbon Co. until Murl retired from the Coal mines at the age of 65. They sold the farm to one of their daughters (Roxella) in the year 1954 and bought a house in Salt Lake City, Utah where they lived until the death of Murl, who passed away on April 17, 1974 at the age of 82. Myrtle is living with a daughter (Rosalie) in Salt Lake City, Utah. (Murl is buried at Salt Lake).

They had a family of nine. (5 boys and 4 girls; 21 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.) Myrtle and her girls were active in the organizations in Talmage. Myrtle was a visiting teacher for nearly 30 years.
