Boliver
(died October 1, 1913- tombstone)

New Germany was shocked to learn that one of its most valuable citizens, Mr.
Rufus Boliver, unexpectedly passed away through the night, while engaged at
his work shingling a barn for Albert Rhodenizer, of West Northfield. Mr.
Boliver was taken with a stroke of paralysis and fell from a scaffold a
distance of thirty feet to the ground and died two hours later.

Mr. Boliver ws an ideal husband, a kind and loving father, an honest and
respectable citizen. It can be truly said he enjoyed the respect of a large
circle of acquaintances and was liked by everybody. He leaves a wife, three
sons and seven daughters. His son, Joseph, and two younger brothers reside
at home; one daughter, Mrs. Fred Morton resides at New Germany, the other
six daughters are residents of the United States.

Mr. Boliver was comparatively a young man being in his fifty-eighth year and
was born and always resided at New Germany. The sympathy of the whole
community goes out to the bereaved family.
