E. C. "Lev" Adams, age 74 years of Rt. 1, Iberia, Mo., passed away Sunday,
September 25, 1977 at his home hear Iberia. Mr. Adams was born March 17,
1903 near Iberia, Mo. in Miller cCounty, the son of James D. and Della D.
(Thompson) Adams. He was united in marriage in Waynesville, Mo. on March
11, 1933 to Irene Meltabarger, who survives of the home. Mr. Adams lived all his life in the Iberia area where he owned and operated. Adams Produce Co. for over 20 years and Adams Furniture until 1962. From 1962 until 1967 he issued clothing at Fort Leonard Wood. In 1965 Lev and Irene started Adam's Kennels which is in operation at the present time. Mr. Adams became a member of the Iberia United Methodist Church under the ministry of Rev. LeGrand. He was also a member of Iberia Masonic Lodge No.
410 AF&AM. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Charles Adams in 1970 and Elmer Adams in 1977; and 1 sister, Sarah Jarrett in 1928. Surviving other than his wife, Irene, are 1 son, Jack K. Adams of Dominican Republic; 4 sisters, Mrs. Eunice Farnham and Mrs. Maude Wilson both of Iberia, Mo., Mrs. Lucy Atwell of DeSoto, Kan., and Mrs. Luane Lowry of Crocker, Mo. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 1977 at the Stevinson Chapel in Iberia with Rev. Ralph Rowe officiating. Interment was in the Iberia Cemetery under the direction of the Stevinson Funeral Home of Iberia, Mo. Active pallbearers: Burl Blankenship, Clarence Foster, Darrel Adams, Clifford Lowry, Lewis Kropp and John Grady. Honorary pallbearers: Clate Condra, Ewel Penland, Seigal Humphrey, Clyde Heade, Frank Mace and Eather Keeth. The New Iberian, October 6, 1977
