Myrtice "Flo" Newton,
of Attalla, Ala., passed away on Nov. 7, 2015, at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was a graduate of Appalachian High School.

Preceding her in death was her daughter, Angela Compton.
Survivors include her son, Jimmy Newton; granddaughter, Brandy Bryan (Dustin); brother, Clyde Wadsworth of Cleveland; son-in-law, Joseph Compton; host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A pot luck dinner will be held in her honor Sunday, Nov. 15, at 3 p.m. in the gym of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 2001 Noccalula Road, Gadsden. Bring your favorite covered dish and bring your memories of Flo.
