Langer, Marian G.

Marian Gertrude Langer, age 95, a Manitowoc resident, entered eternal life on Thursday afternoon, June 8, 2017 at the Aurora Bay Care Medical Center in Green Bay.

Marian was born November 11, 1921 in the Town of Two Rivers, Manitowoc County. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth Scheuer Schmidt. On June 25, 1947 she married Raymond Langer at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death in 1983. Marian was very active with the former Holy Innocents Catholic Church where she had been a long time member of the Christian Women of Holy Innocents and the Catholic Women's Club. At the present time she was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and a member of the St. Clare Society. Marian had been a volunteer at the Manitowoc Senior Center and the American Red Cross.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Martin and Nancy Langer, Germantown; two grandchildren: Bret Langer and Cortney Langer; one sister: Florence Wondrash, Two Rivers; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Michael and Elizabeth Schmidt; husband: Raymond Langer; and one sister: Bernice Petri.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 12, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church of Waldo, 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated by Rev. Dave Beaudry and Rev. Gerald Foley. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.

Marian wanted to express her thanks to her nieces and nephews from the Langer and Petri families for their many visits and friendship. God bless all of you, my prayers were always with you.
