Stewart, Marjorie Mae

Marjorie Mae Stewart, age 89, of Manitowoc, passed away early Thursday morning, April 20, 2017 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center of Manitowoc.

The former Marjorie Mae Linden was born on April 28, 1927 in Manistique, MI, daughter of the late Oscar and Alberta (Beebe) Linden. On November 24, 1945, she was married to Lawrence Stewart in Manistique, MI. He preceded her in death on January 4, 2003. Marjorie worked at the Manitowoc Tinsel Company for 25 years until her retirement. She was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law: Douglas (Jean) Stewart, West Bend; two grandchildren: Jeffrey (Denise) Stewart, Forest Junction and their children: Colin and Christopher; Elizabeth (Alex) Espe, Minneapolis, MN and their child: Oliver; two sisters-in-law: Phyllis Linden, Manitowoc; Phyllis Schulze, IL, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Oscar and Alberta Linden; her husband: Lawrence Stewart; one brother: Norman Linden.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 19, 2017 at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1712 Menasha Avenue, Manitowoc. The Rev. Zachary DeArmond will officiate with burial of her cremated remains to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. The Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory of Manitowoc is assisting the family with arrangements. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Holy Family Memorial Medical Center and the next-door neighbors, the Jerry Meissner family, for all the help and compassionate care given to Marjorie.
