WASHBURN - Margie C. Adams, age 63, of Washburn, Ill., passed away at 6:50 a.m. Monday, Feb. 19, 2007.

She was born Nov. 3, 1943, in Peoria to Francis L. and Mary M. Colvin Adams.

Surviving are two daughters, Daphne (and Jeff) Clarkson of Congerville and Jessica (and Kevin) Taylor of East Peoria; two grandsons, Dakota Byler and Noah Taylor; one granddaughter, Chloe Taylor; one sister, Suzie (and Dennis) Seckler of Metamora; one brother, Harvey Adams of Pattonsburg, Ill.; one nephew, Dennis L. Seckler of Metamora; and one niece, Sarah J. Rice of Pekin.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Margie worked as a cashier at Wal-Mart in Washington, Ill., for 15 years. She supported many charitable organizations. Margie was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and sister.

She attended Pattonsburg Christian Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel. Tim Barber will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and also one hour before services. Burial will be in Belle Plain Baptist Cemetery in Pattonsburg.

Margie was killed in a head on collision with another vehicle on her way to work while the roads were still very dangerous following a major snow storm, she was killed instantly.
