An obituary for Baby Goetting was published in the 11-26-1908 edition of The Grandin Herald, Grandin, Carter Co., MO, on the front page (used with permission).

"Of Such is the Kingdom of Heaven."

The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord.--Job 1:21.

Then fell upon the house a sudden gloom,
A shadow on those features fair and thin;
And softly, from that hushed and darkened room
Two angels issued, where but one entered in.

There is a reaper whose name is Death
And with his sickle keen,
He reaps the bearded grain at a breath,
And the flowers that grow between.

Their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.--Matt. 18:10

CARD OF THANKS
We wish to extend out heartfelt thanks to those whom so kindly lent their help and assistance in the illness and death of our beloved baby, Hildred.
MR. AND MRS. C. P. GOETTING.

Another article was published on the same day in The Grandin Herald on page 8:

"Hildred, the eight months' old infant of Mr. and Mrs. Charles P. Goetting, died last Saturday and was buried in the Grandin cemetery Monday. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved parents."

NOTE: There is a possibility Hildred had a twin sister, Mildred, who was born around 1908 also. I'm checking on that.
