Abigail S. Loos, 5-month-old daughter of John N. and Jennifer L. Leiphart Loos, died Wednesday at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey. She had been ill since birth.

She was born in Lancaster.

Before Abigail was even born, her parents searched nationally for experts on twin to twin transfusion syndrome, a medical condition which Abigail shared with her identical twin sister.

After Abigail was born, she underwent several surgeries and fought back several times from severe medical problems. In a Mother's Day article in the Sunday News, Abigail's mother, Jennifer, said her daughter "is a real fighter."

Abigail's family visited her constantly at Hershey Medical Center.

"She looks at us; she studies us," her mother said in the May interview. "She watches her toys and smiles."

Surviving besides her parents are a brother, her twin sister, maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents and maternal great-grandparents.

Intelligencer Journal; Lancaster, Pa. [Lancaster, Pa]31 May 2002: B-3.Abigail Savannah and her identical twin sister Bronte were born at just 28 weeks. Abby weighed one pound thirteen ounces
She lived through so much that a lot of the doctors said she would not.She lived another two weeks. She had so much strength and wisdom and her life force just shined. She went peacefully on May 29.2002 in her daddy and her mommy arms

Gifts given....Souls touched
Enveloped by a blanket of love....
Her spirit-mind already traveling..
She was set free.................
I heard her say.......
"Know- I won't be far away
Know- it will be better,
Next time we are together"

Message from Abby....

"She is in heaven now saying how lucky she was
to have two special loving parents, even if it was for only
a short time" Love, David

"Each life, is a miracle
That changes the world...
And leaves it a better place
Than it was before."

Did you Know?

Abigail did you know
that my heart skipped
when you smiled.

Abigail did you know
I dreamed of you and
your sister playing.

Abigail did you know
I cried for you, and
needed to take away
your pain..

Abigail did you know
I thought you would
live and play...

Abigail did you know
The doctor's had no clue...

Abigail did you know
I would hold you in my
heart forever...

Abigail did you know
You were so deeply loved......

Abigail I think you knew........... To Abby
Love; Mommy
