Mr. Barnett, a former resident of Chillicothe, was returning home from his daily walk to town when he was struck by a car a half block from his home about 6:15. His wife, Mrs. Bulah Barnett, suffered a heart attack after receiving the news and died within a short time. Both had been in failing health.
They are survived by three children, Howard of the home, Ruby of Wayne and Betty of Florida. They have four grandchildren.
Mrs. Barnett leaves three brothers, Virgil Gordon and Charley Gordon of Wayne, Mich., and Harry Gordon of Chillicothe; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Hightower of Belleville, Mich., and Mrs. Minnie Williams of Chillicothe; and one niece, Mrs. Arthur Childs of Chillicothe.
Mr. and Mrs. Barnett had visited several times in Chillicothe since moving to Michigan. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.” The Chillicothe Constitution-Tribune, December 5, 1960
