In July, 1967 he married the love of his life, Elinor Lentz. They met while working for Farmer Jacks, where he was a journey-man meat cutter. Roger loved his family, his dog Harmony, history, music, tetris, horseracing, cars, and NCIS. He took his kids on many memorable vacations, often around the Great Lakes or East Coast as the whole family shared his passion for the water and boats. He had a wonderful sense of humor and playfulness that made him Fun--he wasn't just a father, he was Daddy.
Roger is survived by his wife, his son Rodger Kalvaitis and his daughters Kimber Bush (Charlie II) and Aimee Kalvaitis.
