Helen F. Lilly, age 91 passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at the Francis Marion Manor.

Helen was born in Smyth County to the late Evia and Allen Fowler and was preceded in death by her husband Harold F. Lilly; sister, Ruby Fowler Dean; her brother Charles A Fowler and sisters in law, Betty Jo Fowler and Lucille Fowler; brother in law, S.D. Gamble two infant nieces. Helen was a lifetime member of the Royal Oak Presbyterian Church in Marion.

She is survived by her sister, Nonia F. Gamble of Wytheville, VA; brother, Glenn S. Fowler of Bethlehem, PA; brother in law, Charles E. Dean of Marion, VA; six nephews, Larry Dean, Garry Dean, Donald Gamble, Ben Fowler, Glenn Fowler and Geoffrey Fowler; four nieces, Cindy Osborne, Sheri Mills, Patti Safestrom and Lauren Fowler; 21 great nieces and nephews; 15 great great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1Pm Saturday, June 17, 2017, at the Royal Oak Presbyterian Church with Dr. Alan Gray officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday fro 12:00 - 1:00 PM at the church. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. Bradley’s Funeral Home is serving the family of Mrs. Helen Lilly.

Ms Lilly was also married to Carl Marion Catron until he took his own life in August 1972, they were married many years. She was only married to Harold Lilly for 2 years. May God have mercy on her soul. Carl was such a good husband to her, she let a good man go.
